A brief history

Lviv Insulator Company is a Ukrainian manufacturer of suspended glass insulators. The company was founded in 2002 on the basis of the Lviv Insulator Plant, which had been operating since 1965 and was one of the world's largest manufacturers of tempered glass insulators. Developing in modern market conditions, the company has preserved quality, expertise, production traditions and a team of the best specialists.

About insulators

Over the years of operation, more than 250 million insulators have been manufactured, which are successfully operated on high-voltage power transmission lines from 10 kV to 750 kV in more than 30 countries around the world. This indicates the high quality of the products and their long-term operational reliability.

Location

The company is located in Western Ukraine near the EU border. Developed road and rail logistics ensure timely delivery of products to Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Asia and other regions of the world.

Company History

1965

Founding of the Lviv Insulator Plant — one of the largest manufacturers of high-voltage tempered glass insulators in the USSR and Europe. The plant became an important part of the global energy industry.

1992

Reorganization of the company. Following the collapse of the USSR, the company was reorganized into the joint-stock company “Lviv Insulator Plant.” Despite the difficult economic situation and a temporary decrease in production, the plant maintained its manufacturing capacity and team of specialists.

2002

“Lviv Insulator Plant” was reorganized into “Lviv Insulator Company” LLC. The company carried on the traditions of the Lviv Insulator Plant, combining many years of manufacturing experience with modern approaches to management and development.

2003

ISO 9001 Certification. The company received the international ISO 9001 certificate, confirming that its quality management system complies with standards worldwide.

2013

Implementation of International Management Systems. The company implemented environmental management and occupational health and safety management systems.

2018

Expansion of sales markets. Lviv Insulator Company is actively entering new sales markets on the global stage, exporting over 90% of its manufactured products.

2025

Installation of a new glass-melting furnace. The company comes under the management of Ukraine’s national power system operator, NPC “Ukrenergo.” A new energy-efficient furnace was installed, enabling the full resumption of production of insulation parts and glass suspension insulators.
