One and a half centuries of work at LIC – total experience of three persons

LIK is considered to be one of the most dynamic enterprises in Lviv, although the glassmaking technology is quite old. However, the Insulator  Company uses the most modern methods of work at the level of world standards. At the same time, at LIC we do not forget about the traditions carried by the veterans of our company. We will tell about several such workers now.

Together, they have worked for three to almost one hundred and fifty years around the glass. Bohdan Zakutynsky came to the then still isolation plant in 1980 after training. When the company was forced to stop, the man left in search of work. However, Bogdan returned when production re-started.

Now Mr. Zakutynsky is a locksmith of control and measuring devices and automation. At first he repaired the devices at the beginning of his work, then he became a foreman.

"Now there are fewer repairs. More operation, more installation. Because we have changed the obsolete devices. Now we try to put devices that do not need repair, we keep up with the latest technology. There is no mechanics there anymore, it was their weakness, it had to be repaired all the time. "

Bohdan Zakutynskyi

According to Bohdan Zakutynskyi, almost one hundred percent of the old equipment has been replaced at LIC. After modernization of most part equipment work with this devices became pleasure.. And we have everything officially, labor legislation is in force, there are social guarantees. The team, says the worker, has been greatly renewed, but the technology of glass production is the same. That's why Bohdan Zakutynsky clung to LIC with all his heart.

Yaroslav Petrovsky has been working even longer. Back in 1967, after school, five colleagues decided to try their hand. Mr. Yaroslav stayed, the boys left. He liked it - although knew about the production from his family. The man's parents worked here, and the family lived and still lives next to the Insulator  Company.

At the beginning of his work, Petrovsky got into the tool shop - the mentors were extremely good, the man recalls, they took him under their wing. Instrumentalist, then engaged in control and measuring instruments, now the head of shop number three (for the preparation of the charge).

"The most important thing is to do your job well, in good faith. It doesn't work any other way here! Moreover, we have such a shop that everything depends on us, we issue a charge. Everything depends on us! ”

The team is wonderful - these people, says Yaroslav Petrovsky with pride, just force them to do feats every day. He grew up in an Insulator Company - and lives nearby, has not changed his residence permit over the years.

Two years before Yaroslav Petrovsky came to the plant, Myroslav Karpik got there. Undoubtedly, he is one of the most respected employees of LIC, truly the "soul" of the company. But in April 1965, Mr. Myroslav moved to an Insulatorplant from another company, where he worked with control and measuring devices. Karpik was taken away as one of the most capable (by the way, he was studying at the Lviv Polytechnic at the same time). And still, the man studies where he can. And Myroslav Karpik lives (to be honest, the right word is burning) with work, the chief engineer only says that he is modernizing production.

"Our insulators are well known in the world. Next year there will be a reconstruction of the furnace, there will be an electric gas furnace. A new assembly shop with a new automatic line is also planned. So, we will make even better insulators than now. "

"It's nice when we have such "bison" as our old-timers! You can rely on them, they know the production processes very well, they can give hints from such a depth, which often seems simply unattainable, - shares his thoughts, CEO of LIC Oksana Dynik. - We are sincerely grateful to fate that we have the opportunity to work with such respectable people and will be glad to see them with us for a long time. I hope that the energy of young people, based on the experience of older people, will allow us to even more successfully meet customer requirements and worthily represent Lviv and Ukraine in the world with our products.
